2023 BMAA National Meeting

Grace and peace to each of you from our great God and Savior Jesus Christ!

As you are preparing for the Christmas holidays and upcoming year, I wanted to let you know about our plans for the 2023 BMA annual meeting. This year, we will be gathering around the theme of “Go!”

As churches, self-described as Baptist, Missionary and Associational, I think it is necessary for us to keep who we are front and center. With that in mind, on Tuesday night, for our opening session, we will be thinking along the theme of “Go to the Word” and the need to be a strong doctrinal people. On Wednesday afternoon, David McMurray, pastor of Blackwood Baptist Church in New Jersey, will be preaching on the theme of “Go to the World” — our commission as churches. That evening will be a special night where Buddy Johnson will address our churches on the theme of “Go Together” — emphasizing how we fulfill the commission as an association.

I say that Wednesday night will be a special night because, for the first time ever, we are planning to have all of our American missionaries with us. We will be honoring them with a special dinner, and you are invited! This will be a wonderful time to get to meet, shake hands, speak with and hug those who carry the message of the gospel to the uttermost parts of the world.

The dates for the meeting are April 25-27, Tuesday through Thursday, at Antioch Baptist Church in Conway. Meeting on these days is a bit different than normal, but we wanted to allow all of our people plenty of time to travel, instead of having to leave on a Sunday afternoon or evening. Accommodations will be announced in January, but you can go ahead and mark your calendars to be with us.
