BMAA National Meeting Information
Allan D Eakin
The 75th annual meeting of the BMA of America is set for April 16-18 at the Chateau on the Lake Resort in Branson, Mo. We have gathered the following information to help the messengers from BMA churches attending the meeting be better informed.
The meeting schedule will follow the new experimental format approved in the 2022 National Meeting in Springfield, Mo. A copy of that schedule is included in this edition of the Baptist Trumpet. (See page 8.)
The registration of church messengers can be accomplished one of two ways:
• Online — Online registration can be completed by going to the BMA of America website (bmaamerica.org/nationalmeeting) and selecting the “Register” link. From there, a church can enter relevant information and, if they choose to do so, donate to the National Meeting and Minute Fund. If preferred, a church can send a check with her messengers to the meeting.
• At the Meeting — In person registration can be completed by visiting the registration table, give your church name, the number of messengers, the number of visitors and any offering for the National Meeting and Minute Fund.
At the meeting, the registration table will be open at various times all three days of the meeting. On Tuesday, April 16, the registration table will be open 1-2 p.m., 5-6 p.m. and 30 minutes following the 7:30 p.m. business session. On Wednesday, April 17, the registration table will be open 8:30-9:30 a.m., 2:30-3:30 p.m., 6:30-7:30 p.m. and 30 minutes following the 7:30 business session. On Thursday, April 18, the registration table will be open for a final time 8-8:30 a.m.
The annual Reports and Recommendations Booklet is not yet available but will be available online for the 2024 meeting. This document will include the report and recommendations from every department of the BMAA, recommendations from the Coordinating Counsel and a list of petitionary churches. We will update our National Meeting page at BaptistTrumpet.com/BMAA2024 to provide the link as soon as it becomes available.
The schedule for the 75th Annual Session of the BMAA includes several worship and growth opportunities. Those opportunities include a worship concert by Point of Grace, the President’s Address by BMA of America President Dr. Clif Johnson, a message from Kirk Shelton and a message from James Schoenrock.
Other meetings and services include the National Women’s Missionary Auxiliary meeting, the BMAA Brotherhood meeting and the Pastor’s Conference, all on Wednesday, April 17 at 9 a.m. The Legacy Missionary Service and Missionary Commissioning Service will occur at 3 p.m. the same day.
BMA Departmental Reports will be given on Thursday, April 18 beginning at 8:30 a.m. In addition, Nominating Committee recommendations for each board or committee will be presented, along with other business the churches may desire to present.
As more information becomes available, wewill publish share it as soon as possible and add it to our national meeting page at BaptistTrumpet.com/BMAA2024.
