         • St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 12 — The American Midwest Conference tournament (AMC) announced their volleyball all-conference awards, and a pair of CBC players were among the selections. Madeline Freeman earned first-team honors for the second consecutive year. She ranks fourth in the conference in kills per set and leads the team with 186 kills while also contributing 255 assists, 219 digs, 11 aces and a career-high 22 total blocks. This marks her third all-conference selection, following last year and an honorable mention in 2022. Aubree Ruggles earned an honorable mention as a freshman after recording 123 kills and co-leading the team with 39 blocks in 62 sets this season. She ranks in the top 20 in blocks per set, including 17 solo blocks.

         • St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 12 — Entering the AMC tournament as the #8 seed, CBC participated in a quarterfinal matchup against regular season champions Missouri Baptist at the Petty Student Resources Center. CBC (7-14) saw their season end, losing in straight sets to MBU (23-11) by scores of 12-25, 13-25, and 10-25. Madeline Freeman recorded five of CBC’s 17 kills to lead the team and contributed six assists. Kailee Walker topped the team with eight digs in her final match as a Mustang. Men’s Basketball

         • Henderson, Tenn., Nov. 14 — Looking to exact revenge against the team that ended their run in last year’s NAIA National Tournament, #11 CBC was at the Brewer Sports Center for a clash with the #7 Lions of Freed-Hardeman. #11 CBC (5-1) trailed by seven at the half but forced two overtime periods before falling 91-89 to #7 FHU (5-1). Sage Borbon had a record night for the Mustangs, finishing with 43 points and a program single-game record of 10 three-point field goals. 32 of Borbon’s 43 points came in the second half and overtime as CBC nearly overcame a 15-point first-half deficit.

         • St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 18 — For the second time this season, Sage Borbon was selected as the AMC Offensive Player of the Week. Borbon excelled in #11 CBC’s loss to #7 Freed-Hardeman, scoring 43 points — a program record in the NAIA era — and making a program record 10 three-pointers. He is averaging 19.7 points per game this season over six games.

Women’s Basketball

         • Conway, Nov. 14 — Playing at home for the first time this season, CBC hosted the Saints of Randall University at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (2-1) never trailed, carrying a 38-22 lead at halftime before winning 81-50 over RU (2-3). Raigan Head posted her second straight double-double, leading the way with 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Lydia York added 15 points, Addison Hudspeth contributed 14 and Riley Whittington chipped in with 12 to join Head in double figures. The key to the game was turnovers, as CBC only committed 11 while forcing 31 Saints turnovers, converting them into 46 points. The Lady Mustangs also allowed Randall to attempt only 6 free throws on the night, while they went to the charity stripe 31 times.

         • St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 18 — Raigan Head was selected as the AMC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. She scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds in CBC’s home opener. This marks her second consecutive double-double. She is averaging 21.3 points and 12 rebounds per game over three games this season.
