CBC SPORTS: Men's Basketball Wins Three

• Springfield, Mo., Nov. 17 — Playing in a road tournament for the second straight weekend, CBC was on the floor at W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse for the first game of the Baptist Bible Classic against the hosts, the Patriots of Baptist Bible College (BBC). CBC (4-2) trailed three times in the game but fought back each time, beating BBC (2-4) 76-70. Deshawn Corprew led the way in scoring and rebounding, while Sage Borbon led the way in assists. The Mustangs dominated on the glass 48-35 and outscored the Patriots 28-7 off the bench.
• Texarkana, Texas, Nov. 24 — Playing in a tournament for the third weekend in a row, CBC was at the Patterson Center for a matinee contest against the Wildcats of Louisiana Christian University (LCU). CBC (6-2) never trailed, leading by 14 at halftime and cruising to a 77-56 win over LCU (2-3). Sage Borbon, Deshawn Corprew and Jonas Carlisle all finished in double figures scoring, with Borbon and Corprew each pouring in 13 points and Carlisle adding 11. Corprew also notched his fourth double-double this season, tacking on 11 rebounds. CBC shot 46% from the floor and 46% from three, while winning the rebounding battle 38-32 and outscoring LCU 32-20 in the paint.
• Texarkana, Texas, Nov. 25 — Wrapping up their final road Saturday in November, CBC took on the Eagles of Texas A&M-Texarkana (TAMUT) at the Patterson Center. CBC (7-2) held TAMUT (2-3) to 18 first-half points and controlled the second half for a 68-49 win. Devin Foster and Sage Borbon paced the scoring for the Mustangs, both finishing in double figures. Christian White had a career-high in rebounds as CBC held the Eagles to 30% shooting from the field and 1-14 from beyond the arc.
