Extravagant Generosity

The vision at First Baptist Church, McNeil for 2022 is Extravagant Generosity $100,000. We are trusting God to use us to give away $100,000 this year. That is more than twice what we have given in modern times and perhaps ever given to missions. Let me just cut to the bottom line — we are at $70,000 and it is April 25. Will you say “amen” with us?
I hesitated, in fact was very nervous, about setting that goal, and now it looks as if that were way too small of a goal. One of the things that has been very successful is our Missions Revival. I invited five different men to represent five different ministries, and we fundraised and received offerings for these five ministries. We sold 200 hamburgers at our local festival and at church to raise $2,000, then received offerings of over $10,000 for a grand total of $12,500 to be divided between the five ministries — Mickeal Quillman (missionary to Zambia, Africa), Rocky Goodwin (Evangelistic International Ministries) and the three local pastors to preached were asked to select a ministry to which we could contribute. Eric Goble of Brister Baptist Church selected Lifeword, Ron Owen of Antioch East Baptist Church selected ABS in Magnolia and Dustin Wisely of First Baptist Church in Magnolia selected Arkansas State Missions.
Their churches were a big help in both attendance and in the offerings. Ron Owen led our singing and did a phenomenal job. We had a great offering, a great revival and one 12-year-old young man was saved. Amen!
