JOURNEY WITH JEFF: Ready for the State Meeting
Jeff Herring
I am looking forward to the annual time when we gather together as an association to take care of the Lord’s business and celebrate all that He has done and is doing through the ministries of the BMA of Arkansas. I hope you will make it a priority to be in attendance on Thursday and Friday of next week (Nov. 3-4) at Central Baptist College. Your attendance and contribution will be an encouragement to all of your state officers and departments.

This past weekend we wrapped up the local association meetings by attending the Arkansas Prairie meeting on Friday night at Forks Lagrue in DeWitt and then the Howard Association meeting on Saturday morning at Center Point in Nashville. Last Saturday (Oct. 15), Allan and I split up to cover the two meetings on the same day. He went to the Judson Association meeting at Bethel #1 in Rison and I attended the Jonesboro Association meeting at Prospect in Jonesboro. On Oct. 9, I attended the Greenbrier Association meeting at First, Damascus and Editor Emeritus Diane Spriggs attended the Harmony Association meeting at Spring Lake, Texarkana.
I share all of this to let you know how important it is for us to get out and keep you informed about what is happening with the ministry of the Baptist Trumpet. We were able to be personally represented at every local association that met this year. As we have shared at each meeting, we work for you — the people in the churches of the BMA of Arkansas. We are doing our best to inform and inspire you with every issue that is produced.
