JOURNEY WITH JEFF: Thankful

      We are entering the holiday season when most people spend time with family and friends. We count our many blessings and celebrate the birth of our Savior. This is a time of year when we can reflect on God's faithfulness during both good and bad times.

      As we enter this season, I want to thank each of you who support the ministry of the Trumpet. As I shared in my annual report (printed in the Nov. 13 issue), everything we do is to serve you — the members of our churches. Our mission is to be your connection to the mission by keeping you informed, inspired and involved in the many ministries of the BMA at every level — local, state and national.

      At the state meeting, we shared the necessity for a rate increase, which will take effect in January. We also shared the opportunity to join the Trumpet Team and help us with monthly support. We are looking for 20 churches or individuals who can add or begin supporting us with $50 per month for the next year (or a one-time gift of $600).       I encourage each of you to take time to show the love of Jesus to your family, friends and community every day, especially during this holiday season. You never know how God can use you to be His hands and feet if you make yourself available.

      I pray God gives us precious time with family and some opportunities for good memories as we remember that it is all because of our great God and His faithfulness.
