Pastor's Wife Dies

Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Smith Jones, 60 of Laurel, Miss., passed away Dec. 11. She met her husband of 41 years, BMA Pastor Corbey Jones at Southeastern Baptist College. She loved to play the piano and sing with her family.

Other survivors include: her mother, Mrs. Arthur (Shirlene) Smith; three children, Carey Jones, Cera Thompson and Bethany (Patrick) Hinton; three siblings, Lisa (Matt) Hudson, BMAA President of Missions John David (Kim) Smith and Rhonda (Steven) Tilly; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 16 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Stringer, Miss. by John David Smith, Collin Jones and Matthew Hudson officiated. Interment followed at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Soso, Miss. Arrangements were under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (colonialchapellaurel.com).
