Southwest District GMA Meets

The Southwest GMA met on July 9 at First Baptist Church in Taylor. This meeting was the joint GMA-WMA fellowship. Our theme for the day was “My God — Promise Keeper” and the theme verse was II Peter 3:9.
We were directed by GMA President Lilli Medlin. Valarie Fish led in the opening prayer. After the welcome from the host church and the response was given by Pleasant Springs. Mrs. Valarie Fish & Abbie Burchfield led in our theme song “Waymaker.”
The GMA presented a skit that involved a TV reporter questioning the GMA girls about the program. The GMAs said their Aim, Allegiance and Watchword as part of the program and sang the GMA song.
Madison Miller read the minutes from the previous meeting. They were approved. Tara Almand gave the treasurer’s report. Dixie Almand gave the report for the goal — $257 at the April meeting — bringing the total so far to $1,157. Our goal this year is Israel Relief. There were 27 GMAs and counselors present, representing 6 churches.
Jeana Medlin did an object lesson and reinforced to us that God keeps His promises.
The WMA had their business meeting.
Mrs. Peggy Bland introduced the speaker, Randy Wilson. He challenged us to take time to worship.
