Why Schedule a CBC Day?

BT Staff

By Duffy Guyton, Director of Church Relations

Current reports indicate that North American churches are experiencing a steady decline in church membership, a continual drifting away from the authority of Scripture and a consistent increase of ones who do not associate with any religious affiliation. Even though the stats are alarming, God has entrusted us to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3). Central Baptist College is a Christ-centered higher education institution that is committed to transforming lives through the gospel.

CBC Day for 2022 is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 11. Please consider setting aside this Sunday, or another day that best fits your church calendar, to pray for CBC. Churches are also encouraged to take up a one-time offering for the annual fund program — “Gifts that Transform” — and/or make a pledge to give additional offerings over the 12 months to follow. CBC Day contributions will be for the CBC Annual Fund that supports, among many other things, the ministry tuition grant, academic and performance scholarships, spiritual life programs and the development of new academic programs.

We would love to know if your church is committing to participate in CBC Day. We would be honored to send you promotional items such as bulletin inserts, special offering envelopes and/or digital graphics to help you as you plan this special day. President Terry Kimbrow, the CBC Singers, students, professors, administrative staff and/or I are available to share with the church on this day. To better fit your schedule, we are available to share on a Sunday night or during a mid-week service as well. We gladly welcome invitations to share at other ministerial events and BMA of Arkansas events such as WMA and Brotherhood meetings.

Thank you for your consistent generosity to the ministry of CBC! Thank you for making a difference in His kingdom by contributing to the “transformation of lives” through the gospel of Christ to all who attend Central Baptist College.
