Youth On Mission

“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity” (I Tim. 4:12 ESV).

The youth group of Calvary Baptist Church in Heber Springs is on a mission. Feeling led by the Holy Spirit, these young people are proving that the mission field is wherever you stand and that even the youngest among us can go out into the world and make disciples of God’s people.

Appropriately named Youth On Missions (YOM), this group works hard to serve our local community and the kingdom of Heaven. Over the past year, they have regularly served at our local community kitchen, created gift baskets to support the CALL (a foster family support group), packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, collected donations to buy food for the hungry and continuously mentored younger children, among other things.

Most recently, YOM was blessed to be able to volunteer at the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs. The group worked hard supporting the Great Passion Play and was even able to help fulfill the Great Commission by performing in the play and getting the opportunity to tell everyone about the life and love of Jesus Christ.
