Chaplain Burchett Completes Course

First Lieutenant Ryan Burchett, a chaplain in the Texas State Guard and the Pastor of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro, Texas, recently received an award of recognition for completing the Direct Commission Officer Orientation Course. This course spans a period of three months, with one month dedicated to online educational training, followed by in-person training at Camp Swift in Bastrop, Texas. The course prepares all officers of a variety of specialties with the tools needed to lead their troops well. It is anticipated that he will soon be promoted to the rank of captain. Please keep Chaplain Burchett in your prayers as he prepares for a possible deployment to the Texas border in the near future.
