Arkansas Women's Retreat
By Valarie Fish, President • Ark. WMA
Jesus is more than enough for our yesterday, today and tomorrow. In every season of life, God provides everything we need to fulfill our purpose. Our Arkansas Ladies Retreat will be a time to spotlight His ability to supply above all we could ask or think!
During our retreat, we will have a Blessing-in-a-Bag silent auction to benefit our state Women’s Missionary Auxiliary (WMA) project — Just the Crumbs Ministries. You bring any kind of bag (purse, tote, gift, etc.) filled with something that will be a blessing. It should be fixed where the contents are a secret, but you can offer hints with the packaging if you want. The blessings auction will take place during lunch in the Central Baptist College (CBC) cafeteria.
Keynote Speaker Yalanda Merrill from LifeWord will inspire us. Angela Wisely, Rebecca Matthews and Hilary Franks will lead us in worship. There will be games and fellowship on Friday night, Sept. 23 starting at 5:30 p.m. with registration in the Cooper Complex at CBC. You can register at the door, but to get a t-shirt and be in on the lunch count you will want to register ASAP (like today!). You can register at tickettailor.com/events/arkansaswma. A special gift will be given to the 50th and the 100th to register!
On Saturday morning, Sept. 24, we will start at 9 a.m. with worship and inspiration. Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to choose two out of three available workshops focusing on Christ as more than enough in various seasons of life. Dusty Linn will teach a workshop on the season of honoring our heritage by the way we minister to our elders. Angelyn McMurray will teach a workshop on the season of protecting our future generations and the safety of our children. Kimberly Williams will teach a workshop on learning to breathe in and through the current seasons of busyness.
Included in your $50 registration (besides the amazing fellowship, worship and inspiration) are a retreat t-shirt, goody bag and lunch. You may make reservations on your own if you want to stay at a hotel in Conway. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn and Suites at 2370 Sanders Road, (501) 513-4989.
