CBC Announces 2024 Homecoming Court
Homecoming activities will be held on Friday, Jan. 12, and Saturday, Jan. 13. The 2024 Homecoming Queen will be announced between the Lady Mustangs and Mustangs basketball games at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13.
The following nine women were selected by their peers to represent Central Baptist College as the 2024 Homecoming Court:
• Rylie Brissette is a freshman Elementary Education major from Greenbrier. She is involved in Tower Media and the Student Activities Board. She is the daughter of Michelle and the late Chris Brissette and attends Crosspoint Baptist Church in Greenbrier.
• Sierra Dodson is a senior Psychology and Forensics major from Quitman. She is a leadership scholar and participates in the Wednesday night student campus ministry, the Student Activities Board, Tower Media and Student Orientation Staff. She is the daughter of Thad and Heather Burrow and attends Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Guy.
• Audrey Johnson is a sophomore Elementary Education major from Jacksonville, Texas. She is a leadership scholar and a member of the Student Orientation Staff, Tower Media, Student Activities Board and Tri Ziva. She is the daughter of Eric and Kelly Johnson and attends Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier.
• Caroline Skinner is a junior Psychology and Counseling major from Bryant. She is a member of the Student Orientation Staff and Student Activities Board. She is the daughter of Jamie and Heather Skinner and attends Antioch Baptist Church in Conway.
• Natalie Smith is a freshman Secondary Social Studies Education major from Greenbrier. She is a member of the Worship Choir and Student Activities Board. She is the daughter of J.L. and LeSha Smith and attends Crosspoint Baptist Church in Greenbrier.
• Kailey Sullivan is a sophomore Communications major from Conway. She is involved in Tower Media, Choir, the Student Orientation Staff and the Student Activities Board. She is the daughter of Marci Jacobsen and Bobby Sullivan and attends Central Baptist Church in Conway.
• Hannah Varnado is a senior Psychology and Counseling major from Franklinton, La. She is a leadership scholar, a member of the Student Orientation Staff and Tower Media Radio station manager. She is the daughter of Darrell and Lyndy Varnado and attends Antioch Baptist Church in Conway.
• Ashanti Williams is a senior Elementary Education major with a minor in Mathematics from Jonesboro. She is a member of the CBC Band, Choir and Tower Media. She is the daughter of Antonio and Antionette Reid and attends City Church in Conway.
• Abby Wilson is a junior Elementary Education major from Lufkin, Texas. She is a member of the Student Orientation Staff, Tri Ziva, Singers, Student Activities Board and Tower Media. She is the daughter of Aaron and Anita Wilson and attends Grace Bible Church in Conway.
Homecoming Plans
We are looking for a big crowd to join us for homecoming this year. CBC Homecoming is scheduled for Jan. 12-13. Below is the schedule of events for the weekend:
Friday, Jan. 12
• Annual Chili Cook-Off (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) in Childers Dining Hall. The annual Chili Cook-Off will take place in the Mabee Student Center. Students, alumni and faculty/staff are encouraged to compete. The event will take place during lunch. Registration is free; all we ask is that you provide enough chili for our students to sample. CBC Dining Services will provide hot dogs to accompany the chili. Prizes will be given for the best chili and for overall presentation. To register a Chili Cook-Off team, email Peggy Pillow at ppillow@cbc.edu.
• Harvest Party Throwback Night (6 p.m.) in Childers Dining Hall. Calling all alumni! Join us Friday night as we enjoy an evening of fun. This year, we will be featuring a Harvest Party Reunion. The evening will consist of dinner, games and entertainment provided by Dr. Zeb Balentine (2008). The cost for the event is $5 per person. To register, visit cbc.edu/homecoming.
Saturday Jan. 13
• Mustang Pre-Game Tailgate (11 a.m.) — Join us on the lawn for tailgating, lunch, games and inflatables. To reserve a space, contact Mallory Guyton at mguyton@cbc.edu.
• Lady Mustangs vs. Harris-Stowe (1 p.m.) in A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse.
• Homecoming Crowning (approx. 1:30 p.m.) — Join us between the women’s and men’s basketball games for the announcement of our 2024 Central Baptist College Homecoming Queen.
