CBC Announces New Hires and Promotions
Central Baptist College is pleased to announce the addition of three new employees: Rick Brown, Sierra Carrier and Mallory Guyton. Additionally, Dr. Tim Brewer, Billie Rodriguez and Lynsey Brown have received promotions.
Rick Brown has joined CBC as the women’s head volleyball coach. Brown comes to CBC from Midwestern State University (MSU), an NCAA Division II school in Texas, where he served as an assistant during the 2021 season. He was also the lead recruiter for MSU in his only season as an assistant for the Mustangs. Prior to his arrival at MSU, he had been an assistant at McCook Community College in Nebraska. He has also spent time at the high school level in Arizona and at Eastern Wyoming College as an assistant. Brown graduated from Northern Arizona University with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems. He is married to Michelle and the couple has two children, Carli and Dawson.
Sierra Carrier has joined CBC Athletics and will be serving as assistant women’s basketball coach. Carrier earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Central Baptist College. As assistant women’s basketball coach, Carrier will serve as assistant to head coach Lyle Middleton and will help with player eligibility. Carrier is a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.
Mallory Guyton has joined the Public Relations office as alumni and public relations officer. Guyton is a recent graduate of CBC with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Guyton’s main duties will be assisting the Public Relations office with writing projects, social media and events. Guyton is a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church in Greenbrier.
Dr. Tim Brewer received a promotion to full-time faculty as a Professor of Bible. Brewer has served as an adjunct instructor for the last 15 years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Central Baptist College, Master of Arts from BMA Theological Seminary and his Doctorate in Educational Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Brewer currently serves as lead pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Guy. He and his wife, Christie have five children — Drew, Page, Sam, John and Lydia.
Billie Rodriguez received a promotion to Director of Dining Services. Rodriguez most recently served as Assistant Director of Dining Services. Rodriguez has been employed with CBC for 13 years.
Lynsey Brown received a promotion to assistant director of Dining Services. Brown most recently served as manager of Café 52, and has been with CBC for seven years.
