CBC Homecoming Plans

We want a big crowd to join us for homecoming this year. CBC Homecoming is scheduled for January 31 and February 1, 2025. Below is the schedule of events for the weekend:

• Annual Chili Cook-Off (Friday, Jan. 31; 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; Childers Dining Hall) — The annual Chili Cook-Off will occur during lunch in the Mabee Student Center. Students, alumni and faculty/staff are encouraged to compete. Registration is free. We only ask that you provide enough chili for our students to sample. CBC Dining Services will provide hot dogs to accompany the chili. Prizes will be given for the best chili and the overall presentation. To register a team to compete, email Peggy Pillow at ppillow@cbc.edu.

• Student & Alumni Hangout (Friday, Jan. 31; 6-8 p.m.; A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse) — Calling all alumni! This year, we are bringing back the carnival, including hot chocolate, roasted hot dogs and several games. This will be an excellent event for all ages, and we hope to see many of our former students and their families there.

• Homecoming Court Reunion Tea (Saturday, Feb. 1; 9:30 a.m.; Mabee Student Center Community Room) — Saturday will be Homecoming Day, and it will kick off with a homecoming court reunion tea for all past and current court members. It will start at 9:30 a.m., and we encourage any of our alumnae who have been on the court to register and come enjoy this new event.

• Alumni Luncheon (Saturday, Feb. 1; 11 a.m.; Childers Dining Hall) —The annual Alumni Luncheon will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Dining Hall. We will recognize our Half-Century Club inductees and alumni award recipients and give away some fun door prizes.

• Lady Mustangs vs. Missouri Baptist (Saturday, Feb. 1; 1 p.m.;A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse)

• Homecoming Crowning (Saturday, Feb. 1; A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse) — Join us between the women’s and men’s basketball games for the announcement of our 2025 Central Baptist College Homecoming Queen.

• Mustangs vs. Missouri Baptist (Saturday, Feb. 1;3 p.m., A. R. Reddin Fieldhouse)
