CBC PROFILE: CBC Announces New Faculty

We are delighted to announce that three new faculty will be joining our academic team this year:

Dr. Katherine Gasaway joins the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Department as an Associate Professor of Chemistry. She completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University, where she taught numerous courses in her discipline as a graduate assistant and served as the lab manager for the Duin Laboratory, conducting research using Methanogens, studying aerobic and anaerobic organisms and the purification of their proteins.

Dr. Gasaway recently completed post-doctoral research in the Zhang Laboratory of the Biochemistry Department at the University of Nebraska. Her research focused on various genetic methods while working with Escherichia coli and Mycobacterium smegmatis. We are pleased that she is bringing her expertise to CBC.

Donna Bradley joins the Fine Arts Department as an Associate Professor of Music and the Director of Instrumental Music. She completed a Master of Music in Music Education at Anderson University and is certified by the Arkansas Department of Education to teach PK-12 Vocal Music and PK-12 Instrumental Music.

Donna has over 19 years of experience directing musical groups, developing vocalists and instrumentalists and planning and directing musical performances. She has taught at Mt. Vernon-Enola School and has been the choir director/band director/elementary music teacher at Conway Christian School since 2007. During that time, she has had numerous students qualify for All-Region Choir and All-State Choir. This past spring, she served as the interim director of instrumental music at Central Baptist College and did a marvelous job. She is passionate about helping students discover their talent and develop a love of music.

Robin Clark joins the Learning Resources Division as the Disability Support Services Coordinator. She completed a Master of Science in Elementary Education at the University of Central Arkansas. She also obtained a Building Level Administrative Licensure from Harding University and completed a certification program for Gifted and Talented at the University of Central Arkansas.

She has been a schoolteacher and a coordinator for gifted and talented at Greenbrier Public Schools and she served as Assistant Principle at Wooster Elementary. Robin previously taught teacher education courses as an assistant professor of education at Central Baptist College for several years. It’s great to have her working at CBC again. She loves helping our students and the institution.
