CBC PROFILE: Freshman Move-In
Central Baptist College administration, faculty and staff are excited to welcome the next incoming freshman class this Saturday, Aug. 12. Residence halls will open for new students beginning at 9 a.m. All students must check in at the Mabee Student Services Complex before moving in. Students and families will have plenty of help from our Student Orientation Staff (SOS) and our Residence Life staff.
Following move-in, we will kick off our 13th annual MUD week! Mustangs Under Development (MUD) is our way of introducing our incoming freshmen to campus. This program has been a great tradition for our incoming freshmen. It allows them to meet new students and understand our campus and college coursework.
Director of Student Services Marieca Ashworth and Student Activities Coordinator Blake Pittman, along with our SOS, do an excellent job of planning and executing fun activities for our students. These events allow students the opportunity to connect with fellow students and our SOS members before classes begin. Below is a list of some of the events that will take place during MUD Week 2023:
• Multiple Team Challenges (Hunger Games, Minute to Win It, Messy Olympics)
• Student Led Praise and Worship
• Bunco
• New Student Convocation
• President’s Cookout
• Karaoke Night
• Core Values
• Capture the Flag
• Mud Night
• Blue Party
This is just a small portion of the many great activities we have planned during welcome week.
On Tuesday, Aug. 15, our residence hall will open for returning students. Classes are set to begin Thursday, Aug. 17. We would ask that you continue to pray for CBC and the 2023-2024 school year. We are excited to continue seeing what God has in store for us this year.
