CBC SPORTS UPDATE: December 21, 2022

Men’s Basketball

         • Hannibal, Mo., Dec. 13 — Stepping back into American Midwest Conference (AMC) play, CBC took on the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange (HLGU) at the Mabee Sports Complex. CBC (9-4, 3-1 AMC) started fast, leading 37-14 at the half and cruising to a 70-44 win over HLGU (5-6, 1-3 AMC).

         • Conway, Dec. 17 — Playing inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse for the final time in 2022, CBC hosted AMC rival William Woods University (WWU). CBC (10-4, 4-1 AMC) trailed 22-21 at the half and blitzed WWU (7-5, 2-2 AMC) in the second half to win 65-52.

Women’s Basketball

         • Hannibal, Mo., Dec. 13 — CBC was inside the Mabee Sports Complex for a tilt with the Trojans of HLGU. CBC (6-4, 1-4 AMC) used a 32-point second quarter to lead 45-20 at halftime and cruise to a 78-51 win over HLGU (2-10, 0-5 AMC).

         • Conway, Dec. 17 — Playing for the final time in 2022, CBC hosted the Owls of WWU in an AMC game inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (7-4, 2-4 AMC trailed 27-21 at halftime, but came back to defeat WWU (3-8, 1-4 AMC) 62-60 in overtime.
