CBC SPORTS UPDATE: March 23, 2022

Baseball

• North Little Rock, March 16 — CBC hosted the Buffaloes of Arkansas Baptist College (ABC) at Burns Park. CBC (13-9) pounded out 13 hits, including 5 home runs, to run rule ABC (0-3) 17-1.

• North Little Rock, March 18 — Opening the American Midwest Conference (AMC) schedule, CBC hosted the Trojans of Hanniball-LaGrange (HLGU) at Burns Park. CBC (14-9, 1-0 AMC) came from behind on three separate occasions to defeat HLGU (6-8, 0-1 AMC) 17-15.

• North Little Rock, March 19 — Looking to finish the series strong after coming back to win in the opener, CBC wrapped up their AMC series with HLGU at Burns Park. CBC (16-9, 3-0 AMC) got dominant pitching and timely hitting to finish the sweep, beating HLGU (6-10, 0-3 AMC) 10-7 and 7-0.

Track & Field

• Searcy, March 19 — Competing for the second time this season, CBC was at the Harding Invitational. No team scores were recorded, but Ally Swaim won yet another race in her illustrious career. Swaim topped the field in the 100-meter hurdles, posting a time of 15.32 to best second place by over two-tenths of a second. Swaim also ran in the 200 meters and recorded a time of 27.87 to place fifth.
