Help the Quillmans Achieve Their Goals
By Theresa Carol
Well, we’re a couple of months into the new year. How are all those New Year’s resolutions going? We’ve had extreme cold weather in our area, so my exercise goals are definitely slipping. Okay, I’ll be honest: I haven’t tried very hard because I’m a weenie and don’t want to be cold. But seriously, what about the other things people try to achieve in the New Year? Have you managed to keep your desk clear? Have you saved any money for that trip? Have you eaten at home more? What about your Bible reading? Are you on track to read through the Bible this year?
Just imagine if you didn’t have a Bible. What if you only had this month to access one? You’d have already read through it and committed much of it to memory.
Mikael and Sharon Quillman are giving the gift of God’s Word to those around them. They are serving in Zambia to teach and disciple God’s people. The Quillmans have accomplished a great deal while on the field in Zambia. This year, the WMA is helping to raise funds for a building to support all their efforts. The local villagers could have a central place for discipleship, multiplication, church leadership and pastoral training. Men, women and children could gather to learn and worship. There would also be several bunkrooms where travelers can rest before their return trips. Our goal for the project, which includes the building, a well, solar power and septic systems, is $80,000.
Please consider giving to this project. When you think about your quarterly, annual and life goals, reflect on how you can help others achieve their goals and callings.
