Master's Builders Complete Job #174
Rose Bittner - A small group of Master’s Builders recently met for two days at Anthony Drive Baptist Church in Ennis, Texas (Job #174). Pastor Matt Walker called the group because the church had the unique “problem” in that their Youth Department was growing too fast for the space they had to meet in! Praise God!
The Builders were asked to tear down the walls and ceiling from three classrooms and a hallway to make one large youth meeting room. They also put up a door between the room and the hallway to the rest of the building.
The Builders had so much help from the congregation on the first day that it made the task much easier to tear down and remove all the debris. Special thanks to Youth Pastor Korey McCrady and Chris Walker for their “nonstop” help on day one, and for all the other students and church members who showed up and were willing to help in any way they could. Special thanks to Vicki Woods for the delicious enchilada lunch that was prepared for us on day two.
It was an added blessing for The Builders to work on a building that was originally constructed by the Master’s Builders in 1992 (Job #5 for the group). The Builders were so thankful to see photos of the original project and the original team from this job in 1992 from a memory book at the church!
The Master’s Builders have had several changes to their spring schedule. The next project for the Builders is to work at Daniel Springs Camp in Gary, Texas, March 14-25. After that, they are scheduled to build a new sanctuary for Celebration Baptist Church in Haskell in April.
