Retired BMA Pastor Dies

      Ronald Loy Dunn, 74 of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away March 28. He pastored churches for more than 40 years in Texas and Arkansas including Commerce Road Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. He studied at the BMA Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas, and the Criswell Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas and was ordained in 1975. Ronald supplemented his ministry work and provided for his family as a print business owner. After retiring in 2015 due to health issues, Ronald and Ennetta moved to Waxahachie, where they became members of Pathway Baptist Church, formerly known as Farley Street Baptist Church.

      Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ennetta (Eddins) Dunn; four sons, Brian (Randi) Dunn of Tyler, Texas, Nathan Dunn of Dallas, Texas, Craig (Shanna) Dunn of Waxahachie, Texas and Matthew (Kendra) Dunn of Mount Pleasant, Texas; a brother, Dellis (Betty) Dunn of Austin, Texas; a sister Julia (Merl) Odom of Bullard, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

      Services were held April 3 at Pathway Baptist Church in Waxahachie with interment at Old Union Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Texas under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home (waynebozefuneralhome.com).
