Retired BMA Pastor's Wife Dies

      Barbara Jean Morrison, 77 of Pea Ridge, passed away May 20. She was the wife of Larry Morrison, former BMA of Arkansas missionary and pastor, she was a member of Bethel, Bentonville.

      Her husband pastored a number of churches in Arkansas, including: Garden Springs, Jefferson; Beacon (now Murmil Heights), El Dorado; Little River, Manila; Commerce Road, Pine Bluff (BMA of Ark. Mission); Beech Street, Crossett; and Unity, Rogers (Benton County Mission). He also pastored Riley, Riley, Kan. and served as associate pastor at Fairview, Blytheville.

      Barbara served in the Juvenile and Child Support Division with the Benton County Circuit Court until she retired in 2008.

      Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Larry Morrison; two sons, Carter Wade (Amanda Sanders) Morrison of Fayetteville and Ross Lynn (Rebecca Lambrecht) Morrison of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Ronnie Lynn (Chris) Ellison of Pine Bluff and Timothy Paul Ellison of Little Rock; one sister; Lynette Fowler of Bentonville; and one granddaughter.

      A graveside service was held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse on May 22, with Perry Morgan and Ron Schultz officiating. Arrangements were by Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville (eptingfuneralhome.com).
