SPOTLIGHT ON MISSIONS: AJ • Reaching the 10/40 Window

Editor’s Note: For security reasons, this missionary’s name and ministry location are not being shared.

In January, I took my first “personal prayer retreat.” This was something I had wanted to do for a long time but had never known where to start. I was able to get a cute, cheap Airbnb nearby that provided a perfect space to spend the weekend in prayer! If you have ever wanted to do a personal prayer retreat, take this as your sign to plan it now!

In February, I had the “Ends of the Earth” fundraiser dinner and auction at my church. It was a wonderful time of food, fellowship and prayer for unreached people groups. I was overwhelmed by the support that was shown by people who helped set up, donated items, participated in the auction and donated food and time. That night we raised over $8,000, which will be a huge help to my training program tuition! I also ended my time as Arkansas State GMA promotor after our state meeting. It was such a success and we had so much fun at CBC! Please be in prayer for our new state promotor and the GMA program as a whole.

March brought times of fellowship with Friendship Baptist Church in Greenbrier and with First Baptist in Damascus at Adult VBS! In April, we celebrated my best friend and her marriage to the love of her life! I was blessed to stand by her as maid of honor on her special day. I had a great time of fellowship with Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Cassville, Mo.

The last week of April was our national association meeting. It was so wonderful to see so many old friends and meet new ones! We ended the week with a time of rest and relaxation in Hot Springs with our Missionary Care Conference. It was so exciting to sit and fellowship with other workers from around the globe.

How to Support?

I leave for training in August. I will continue to raise support over the next few months with a focus on gaining monthly supporters. As I mentioned in my previous newsletter, monthly supporters will be helpful while I am in training, but they will become essential when I move to the long-term field! These supporters will allow me to live and do ministry for a longer period of time. Please pray that God will lead me to these willing churches and individuals that will be my monthly financial “senders.”

I currently have about 50% of the monthly support pledges I will need for the long-term field. If you are interested in giving monthly, please contact me for more information! I would love to meet with you to discuss how to be a part of my sending team.

Another way you can help support is through my “Ministry Wish List” on Amazon! Visit amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/281TTEFC8HAZ9?ref_=wl_fv_le to see how you can help. Everything on the list will be used for training or traveling and are items that will be very helpful to have throughout the next year. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Prayer Requests & Praises

• For me as I continue to raise support.

• For my health as I continue to prepare for the physical demands of the mission field.

• For my training program classmates.

• Praise God that I was able to spend time in fellowship with fellow workers from around the globe and spend time in rest and relaxation before I go to the field.

• Pray that I will be able to discern a place and people group to serve among long term.

If you or your church are interested in supporting me on this journey, please contact me at arkslp@protonmail.com or (501) 314-9806. Support can be mailed to BMA Missions, PO Box 878, Conway, Ark. 72032.
