SPOTLIGHT ON MISSIONS: Joshua & Meagan Phiri • Zambia

As we approach the beginning of a new year, I wanted to share some exciting updates and prayer requests concerning our return to Zambia and the future of our ministry. This journey back to Zambia will be unique as we will be traveling with our three little blessings — a four-year-old, an almost two-year-old, and a three-month-old. Your prayers for safety, health and peace during the travel are deeply appreciated.

Return to Zambia — We are excited to announce that on Jan. 9, we will be embarking on our journey back to Zambia, with our anticipated arrival on Jan. 11. It has been an incredible time for us here in the States, speaking in churches and witnessing the Lord's work in various communities.

• Call for Support — As we prepare to return, we are carrying a valuable resource for our ministry — an entire set of audio Bibles. These audio Bibles are a powerful tool for sharing the gospel, especially in areas where literacy rates may vary. They allow us to reach a broader audience, making the Word of God accessible to those who cannot read.

In addition to the audio Bibles, we also have other essential materials for our ministry, including educational resources, discipleship materials and literature that aids in teaching and spreading the message of Christ effectively. To ensure the safe transport of these crucial ministry tools, we are reaching out to you, our valued supporters, for financial assistance. Your generous contributions will cover our travel expenses and facilitate the shipping of these materials to our destination.

• Future Ministry Endeavors — As we look forward, our ministry continues to emphasize the training of individuals in the villages where we plant churches, empowering them to serve as ambassadors for Christ in their communities. We also plan to conduct leadership training sessions in Zimbabwe and Botswana. These efforts are essential to our mission of making Jesus known in various regions. We firmly believe that equipping local leaders is crucial to fostering lasting and impactful change.

• Prayer Requests — Please pray for safe travels for our family, especially with three young children. Lift up our new connections in Botswana and Zimbabwe so these relationships may be fruitful for the kingdom. Pray for the success of our training initiatives, that they may empower and inspire individuals to share the love of Christ in their communities.
