United District WMA
By Becky Tollison, Reporter
The United District WMA met on Oct. 7 at Caney Valley Baptist Church in Plumerville for our quarterly meeting with 16 in attendance and 5 churches represented. Our offering was over $500 and will be sent to the Jeevan Prakash School in India.
The program was presented by Holly Meriweather who is the Content Coordinator at BMA Global. Her husband, John, is regional coordinator for Southeast Asia and vice president of Global Operations. So, with their responsibilities at the missions office, they were perfect to relate to us regarding the Jeevan Prakash School in India. Michael Gray, pastor of Caney Valley, delivered our message.
The men of Caney Valley Church grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for all in attendance. This was a glorious time of prayer and encouragement for BMA missions and fellowship among the churches.
Our next quarterly meeting will be Jan. 6, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Denver Street in Greenwood and CBC’s Cyber Attack Fund was chosen for the January project.
