United District WMA Meets

The United District WMA met Saturday, Oct. 5, at Mount Pleasant church, with 26 in attendance and 8 churches represented. Jesse Hales, pastor at Mount Pleasant, from Matt, brought the message. 28:16-20. He challenged us to “Go make Disciples.”

Our program theme was Matt. 28:20, and our special music was by Stacy Jordan and Macy Allen. Our speaker was Bryson Haden, who showed a video of Michael Quillman telling us about his work in Zambia, including a community school he and his wife are involved with that began with 38 students and is now up to 130. Our offering was $820 to go to Zambia.

In our business session, Sherry Laminack presented the Sunbeam report, stating that their goal was Moral Action. The next meeting will be in January at Bald Knob Baptist Church in Plumerville. Our goal will be the same as the State WMA chooses in November at the State meeting.
