United WMA Meets

The United District WMA met Saturday, April 1, at Hattieville Baptist Church with 23 in attendance and 6 churches represented. The message was brought by Bob Burch, pastor of Hattieville Baptist Church.

Three recommendations from the officers were approved:

• Change the July meeting to July 1 at Bald Knob Baptist Church in Plumerville,

• Elect an assistant for the secretary/treasurer position (Brenda Carnahan was elected) and

• Distribution of offerings.

We chose Water for Christ for our July goal. A report for Sunbeams was given, and we had a discussion regarding the National WMA meeting on April 26 in Conway.

Our speaker was Jason Prewitt, director of Daniel Springs Camp. He gave us a history of the camp from the beginning to now. He also noted that we had to be creative with methods, but the message never changes.
