Finishing the Semester Strong
Midterms have come and gone for the spring 2025 semester, but we still have many events and activities coming up before summer!
The CBC musical will be on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. This year’s musical is Fiddler on the Roof, and many students are working hard alongside the Fine Arts Department faculty to provide a great show for the campus and community. Tickets will be sold at the door at $10 for adults and $5 for students or children. We are asking everyone who comes to bring either cash or a check.
Campus will be closed March 24-28 for Spring Break. Please keep all our students in your prayers, as many will be traveling for the break.
Next, on Wednesday, April 9, we will have our academic awards ceremony. This is an amazing opportunity to recognize our outstanding students and the hard work they put into every day pursuing academic excellence.
On Saturday, April 12, we are having an Alumni Night at the Arkansas Traveler’s Game. The game starts at 7:05 p.m., and we encourage all interested to register. More registration details are coming soon!
The next week, starting on Monday, April 14, our students will begin Hall Wars, which is perhaps the most competitive week on campus. Each floor in Dickson Hall will compete alongside two commuter teams for the title of Hall Wars Champion. With games, riddles and competitions spanning throughout the week, this will be one of the most exciting weeks of the year, ending, of course, with the annual Lip Sync competition in Burgess Auditorium.
On April 24, the Fine Arts Department will have its Spring Concert at 6:30 p.m. in Burgess Auditorium. The Band, Worship Choir, Chamber Choir, Women’s Chorus and Handbells will all be performing, and we are encouraging everyone to come enjoy the concert and support our Fine Arts students.
Our annual Spring Fling for our students will be held on April 25. This event is a favorite for many of our students, faculty and staff and offers a fantastic time of crawfish, games and fellowship.
Graduation will be on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. We look forward to seeing over 60 of our students receive their diplomas and are excited to celebrate with them on a job well done.
We also encourage you to mark your calendars on Friday, May 9, for President Terry Kimbrow’s retirement party, recognizing his 31 years of service at CBC and thanking him for the impact he has made on the college and her students. Additionally, if anyone wants to send President Kimbrow a thank you letter or note of support, send it to Attention Peggy Pillow, 1501 College Avenue, Conway, Ark. 72034.
With a great year already behind us and a busy schedule ahead, we ask that you continue to pray for us as we strive to finish this semester strong. If you are interested in supporting CBC, please visit cbc.edu/give, and for more information on CBC, visit our website at cbc.edu. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
