Master’s Builders Blessed at StoneRidge Camp
By Nelda Malone, Reporter
The Master’s Builders were excited to be able to return to StoneRidge Baptist Camp for their first job of 2025. StoneRidge Camp was blessed with the construction of a 24 x 48 metal building and the Builders were needed to help in constructing three individual rooms inside the building. Each of these rooms will house up to five people, and they will be used to accommodate camp evangelists, music ministers and anyone needing special accommodations while at camp. It will also serve as guest rooms for visitors who would like to stay a night during the camps or at special events.
Each room will have a living/bedroom/coffee bar area, a closet and a bathroom. The Master’s Builders framed and put up walls and installed insulation and doors. They also built a covered porch over the exterior entry doors of the building. Camp Director Scott Small said, “We are praying to dedicate it to the Lord’s work before the 2026 camp season.”
This was job #192 for the Master’s Builders. Looking back on their past jobs, this is the seventh time they’ve had the privilege of working at StoneRidge Camp and partnering with Scott and Myrtie Small in the Lord’s mission there. Their first time at the camp was in March 2012.
Scott and Myrtie are a very special couple. We love spending time with them and their family. As always, they take good care of us while we work. They truly have a heart for young people and the lost. Scott and Myrtie share in Heaven’s joy and celebration each time a profession of faith is made at camp. The Master’s Builders share that joy and are thankful to be a small part of their ministry. The Builders were also privileged to be able to attend a Brotherhood meeting that was held at the camp during the work week. What a special blessing it is to have so many godly men share in the work being done at the camp, as well as in their churches and communities.
Our group of men is getting smaller and smaller, so we ask you to continue to pray for workers to come and help. Most of our men have health problems, and their lives are filled with doctor’s appointments, but they continue to come and do all they can to help this ministry. Please pray fervently for the Lord to send more workers to this ministry. The Master’s Builders pray we can continue to serve Him in this work for many years to come!
Our next job, #193, will be at Camp Garwood in Van Buren, Mo., from March 31 to April 11. This will be our first time serving there, and we are excited to work at this camp in a beautiful part of Missouri! The camp has dorm rooms and RV spots available for us. This will be a new construction building from the slab up. Please come visit us while we’re there — any help would be much appreciated.
