Raines Celebrates 68 Years of Ministry

On Feb 28, the members of Chalybeate Springs Baptist in Plain Dealing, La., enjoyed a time of celebration with Wayne Raines and his wife, Shirley, for 68 years of faithful service to the Lord. Several of their family members were also in attendance.

Bro. Wayne served 14 churches in five states — Arkansas, Oklahoma, Utah, Washington and Louisiana — during his 68 years in the ministry.

He and Shirley have moved on to Bella Vista to be closer to family and begin a new phase of their lives. He says, “I’m not done yet!” and is asking the Lord to keep using him until He calls him home.

We only had Bro. Raines as our pastor for a short time, but we have been so blessed by him and Shirley as they have loved on us. They will always have such a special place in our hearts! We will miss them at Chalybeate Springs.
