SPOTLIGHT ON MISSIONS: Joshua & Meagan Phiri • Zambia

We are thrilled to share the incredible impact your support has made in Zambia! Your generosity and dedication have allowed us to bring hope and tangible change to communities facing immense challenges. A wonderful thing is happening — more and more people are finding hope in Jesus!

• Discipleship Training — My deepest thanks to each of you who prayed for our recent discipleship training. Your prayers lifted us and guided us through the journey. A special shoutout to Michael Goodwin and Russell Threet, whose teachings deeply impacted our pastors and leaders. Your wisdom and dedication enriched our experience. Thank you, Michael and Russell, for your amazing guidance and love.

• Zimbabwe Missions — During my recent mission in Zimbabwe, I led training sessions to help locals become better leaders and followers of their faith. These sessions have inspired the community to build a brighter future for their church and ministry.

• Bringing Hope Through Clean Water — We can’t ignore the tough times facing many places in Southern Africa. Droughts are hitting villages hard, making life uncertain. Families struggle to find clean water and basic necessities, and kids go hungry for days. The drought has dried up the land, leaving fields empty and dreams of big harvests shattered. Without rain, hope fades and poor communities feel trapped in poverty.

But even in tough times, there’s hope. Together, we can be the ones to make a change. By giving clean water through wells, we can help during the drought. Wells don’t just provide water to drink, they also help people grow food. Villages can have healthy gardens and enough food for their families with water.

Prayer Points

• Let us begin by thanking the Lord for His abundant provision and the opportunity to serve communities in Zambia.

• Pray for the local leaders and participants who attended the training sessions. Ask God to continue empowering them with wisdom, courage and discernment as they apply the knowledge gained to lead and disciple others within their communities. Lift up the villages affected by drought in Zambia.

• Pray for God’s mercy and intervention to bring rain to the parched lands, providing much-needed relief and sustenance for families facing food shortages and hardships.

• Pray for strength and resilience for the families enduring the harsh impacts of drought. Ask God to comfort those who are hungry, weary and discouraged, and to instill hope in their hearts as they face uncertain times.

• Pray for the success of the water well projects aimed at providing sustainable solutions to the drought crisis. Ask God to guide the implementation process, bless the efforts of those involved and ensure the wells serve as sources of life and nourishment for the communities they serve.
