Update on the Situation in Lebanon
By Charlie Costa, MENA Coordinator • BMA Global
Executive Editor’s Note: I spoke with Bro. Charlie, and he shared that he was not able to have a column this week due to the current circumstances in Beirut, but he wanted to share an update on the situation and ask for your prayers. He also shared details about an upcoming trip to the USA and when he will be available to share with you as time and availability permit.
We continue our work as usual, as expected and as commissioned to do by the churches of the BMA of America. Our family, my wife Mona, Joe and family, and Dr. Rana and her family made a decision a long time ago when we decided to follow the calling of Jesus — no turning back, no turning back. Facing the cross, as difficult as that was, my Savior did not turn His back on me. I surely will not, by His grace, turn my back on Him. Our legacy, as missionaries of the BMA of America, is that we go all the way, and the Costa family is not the only example.
We are well and safe. I continue to check on our team members, who are also safe so far. You can help by praying for perseverance, protection and provision. You can also help by giving to sustain the work in tumultuous times. Go to tiny.cc/MENACosta to donate securely through BMA Global.
Planned Trip to the USA
I will be in the USA from Oct. 21 to Nov. 12 and will be available Sundays for morning or evening services on Oct. 27, Nov. 3 and Nov. 10. I will also be available for revivals beginning Oct. 24 to Nov. 10 and to meet with local associations, churches, pastors and church leaders to discuss the current situation in the Middle East and its impact on our BMAA work in the region. To schedule a visit, contact me at chuckcosta58@gmail.com.
