SPOTLIGHT ON MISSIONS: Bryan & Pam Risner • Romania

What in the world happened to the Risners and their updates? Our writer (Melody), Lindsey and Landon graduated high school in Romania and moved back to America. It is one of many gaps we have had since our kids graduated and moved back to the States. We enjoyed having them home for Christmas and have missed them dearly since they returned to America (hard for me to call it their home).

In addition to Christmas ministry responsibilities and festivities, we celebrated New Year’s together, the twin’s 19th birthday, and my (Pam’s 41st) birthday.

There is something special about missionaries serving other missionaries. We spent a week serving the Quillmans and their ministry in Zambia. I’m not sure who received the greater blessing, us or them. We will share more in a future update.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship, our gypsy children in our two communities received new shoes and a Christmas gift. All the families in the two Gypsy communities also received food bags for Christmas.

We are very blessed to have young adults attend and be involved at Agape church.

We are a big, small group of 23 members. Our weekly attendance averages 18-20. As spiritual parents, our goal is to check in regularly throughout the week and encourage our group to read and study Scripture.

Is there anything sweeter than a children’s Christmas play? These kids worked hard and did a terrific job.
