Baby Saved From Abortion
In Little Rock
On March 16, 40 Days for Life in Little Rock reported that a baby was saved from abortion.
Toni, the coordinator for 40 Days for Life’s pro-life prayer vigils in Little Rock, wrote, “Great news! A young couple stopped today after coming out of their appointment at Planned Parenthood. They wanted to know more about getting a free ultrasound. The mom said she prayed this morning for God to give her a sign that He would provide for the needs of this baby. A couple of ladies from Cathedral of St Andrew out there praying with a ‘Free Ultrasound’ sign were used by God to answer this mom’s prayer! Pray for this couple as they begin the journey into parenthood.
“God can use you too, so if you haven’t already done so, sign up for your time on the sidewalk at 40daysforlife.com/littlerock.”

Leslie Passes Resolution
Opposing Abortion
On March 7, the Leslie City Council passed a resolution affirming that Leslie is a Pro-Life City. Leslie — which is in Searcy County, in the northern region of the state — joins a growing list of communities that have declared they are Pro-Life after the Arkansas Legislature passed Act 392 of 2021 by Rep. Kendon Underwood (R/Cave Springs) and Sen. Gary Stubblefield (R/Branch) that allows cities and counties to designate themselves as Pro-Life. Act 392 also says that Pro-Life Communities can install signs or banners announcing that they are Pro-Life.
To date, 18 counties and 10 cities and towns have passed resolutions recognizing unborn children and affirming that they are Pro-Life. (lifenews.com)
Pro-Marijuana PAC
Donates to Candidates
Reports filed with the Arkansas Secretary of State’s Office show the pro-marijuana political action committee Grow has given $6,000 this year to candidates for the Arkansas Legislature ahead of the May Primary Elections. Grow represents the Arkansas Cannabis Industry Association, a trade association for medical marijuana in Arkansas. (Go to familycouncil.org for a list of campaigns Grow has donated to so far this year.)
Much of the money that Grow donates to candidates in Arkansas appears to come from marijuana businesses headquartered out of state. Marijuana is a multimillion-dollar business, and the corporations behind marijuana have a lot of money at their disposal.
As the 2022 election season progresses, voters need to be prepared for the marijuana industry to work hard to push its agenda in Arkansas. (familycouncil.org)
Trans-identified Swimmer Wins NCAA Women’s Championship
A trans-identified swimmer has won an NCAA championship, sparking outrage from critics who oppose allowing biological males who identify as females to compete on women’s sports teams. Will Thomas, a trans-identified swimmer who now goes by the name Lia, won the 500-yard freestyle in the NCAA Division I national championship at the Georgia Institute of Technology on March 17.
Thomas, who competes on the University of Pennsylvania women’s swimming team, edged out the second-place finisher by nearly two seconds. Multiple groups opposed to rules allowing biological males who identify as females from competing in women’s sports protested outside and inside Georgia Tech’s McAuley Aquatic Center.
Members of Concerned Women for America (CWA), a socially conservative advocacy group that filed a civil rights complaint against the University of Pennsylvania for allowing Thomas to compete on the women’s team, held signs outside the natatorium ahead of the competition.
In CWA’s complaint addressed to Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education Catherine Lhamon, Concerned Women for America, said that as recently as 2020, “Thomas was competing as a member of UPenn’s men’s swimming team.”
Thomas’ victory in the 500-yard freestyle comes as some states are implementing laws requiring student-athletes to compete on teams that correspond with their biological sex instead of their identity. Supporters of such legislation frequently point to the biological differences between men and women that they believe give trans-identified males an unfair advantage over their biologically female counterparts in athletic events. Pastor’s Warning About Disney Pixar’s New Film “Turning Red”
There’s been no shortage of conversation and debate surrounding Disney Pixar’s new animated film “Turning Red.” The movie, a coming-of-age story about a 13-year-old girl named Meilin who starts magically turning into a giant red panda, has one pastor warning about its themes and asking, “Is it demonic?”
Mike Signorelli, senior pastor of V1 Church in New York City, recently released a video on social media taking parents through his spiritual concerns over the film and the reasons he concluded it’s simply not a kids’ movie.
“I believe that every parent — not just a pastor, but a parent — has a mandate to actually screen material,” Signorelli told Faithwire. “Because every single device you have in your home is a portal, either a window into the things of God or, unfortunately, things that I believe are demonic.”
The preacher said he is the parent of a young child and wanted to screen “Turning Red” to understand its contents better. Signorelli detailed his warnings:
“Within the first eight minutes, I was absolutely appalled,” he said, noting the theme deals with ancestral communication, among other topics that don’t align with a biblical worldview.
“We know in Heb. 9:27, it’s appointed once to live and then to die and we face judgment, and it’s strictly forbidden, in the Christian context, to communicate with the dead,” Signorelli said. “And so, even within the first eight minutes, you have chanting, communication with ancestors and immediately a red flag should start to go off.” (faithwire.com)
