UPDATE: Justs The Crumbs/BMA Disaster Relief

The BMA Disaster Relief Ministry partner, Just the Crumbs plans to have the kitchen trailer set up at Cherrywood Baptist Church in Sherwood to serve meals beginning Wednesday, April 12, and will serve lunch daily from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Lavon Haden shared that they are stretched thin with their volunteers since they responded to the Mississippi tornado and “have a group cooking in Amory, Miss. and a group in Letcher, Ky. providing support for God’s Pit Crew. However, we feel that God wants us to respond to the Central Arkansas area as well, and we know God will provide the help we need, if we submit to His will. So, if you feel that God is leading you to volunteer or donate, don’t ignore the feeling. We need you to help us be the hands and feet of Jesus.”

Volunteers Needed

If you can volunteer, contact Bro. Lavon at (601) 522-6055. If you are in the Little Rock area, volunteers are needed to begin cooking at 8 a.m. and to deliver meals to affected areas beginning at 10:30 a.m. each day.

Donations Needed

If you would like to donate to help Just the Crumbs in their relief efforts, here are some of their specific needs as they prepare to feed people during the recovery effort that they asked us to make people aware of:

• Corn (#10 Can/Food Service Size only)

• Green Beans (#10 Can/Food Service Size only)

• Baked Beans (#10 Can/Food Service Size only)

• Self-rising meal

• Self-rising flour

• Sugar

• Tea

• Single-serving potato chips

• Little Debbie cakes

• Ground Beef

• Pork Roast (Boston Butt preferred)

• Salt/Pepper

• Eggs

• Bread

• Hamburger Buns

• Hot dog Buns

• Paper Towels

• Styrofoam to-go boxes

Groceries can be purchased online and shipped to Cherrywood Baptist Church, 2300 E. Lee Ave, Sherwood, Ark. 72120.
