The SOAR 2023 Student Conference was held July 3-5 at the Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas with over 1,300 registered attendees, but in the ballroom, where there were 1,500 chairs set up, every seat was filled, and people were standing during each session.

Jacksonville College Names New President
The trustee board of Jacksonville College met on campus in Jacksonville, Texas July 7 and named Dr. David Erickson as the new president of the college. He will officially assume his new duties on July 31. Dr. Erickson was the unanimous nomination of the executive search team.
